What started as three kids hounding their Dad to start a YouTube channel quickly became a blog, and recipe hub, and store for Dads to proudly “get their Dad on.”

More than anything, it was a way to pass the time during the The Season of Covid.

The mission is simple (although calling it a mission seems little precious): BasicDad dad exists to celebrate this crazy thing called fatherhood. The long days, the backyard projects, the mealtimes, the good, the bad, and all the laughs that come along with it.
